PirateCash Wallet v0.49.0 — Alpha AML Integration, Improved Smart Contract Handling and Critical Stability Fixes

We’re excited to announce the release of PirateCash Wallet 0.49.0, focused on strengthening security, enhancing smart-contract interactions, and addressing important stability issues reported by the community.
This update further improves the reliability of multi-chain operations and adds an additional safety layer through advanced risk analysis tools.

🔍 Alpha AML Integration

In this release, we’ve integrated Alpha AML (alpha-aml.com) — a powerful blockchain risk-assessment service designed to help users make safer decisions when interacting with cryptocurrency wallets and transactions.

With Alpha AML, PirateCash Wallet users can now:

  • assess the risk level of any wallet address,
  • detect addresses listed in blacklists, sanction registries, and scam reports,
  • reduce exposure to potentially “dirty” or compromised crypto assets.

This integration is an important step toward improving on-chain transparency and user protection.

🧠 Improved Smart Contract Transaction Handling

Several enhancements have been made to ensure more predictable and safer smart-contract operations across EVM networks:

✔️ More accurate smart-contract detection

Fixed an issue where contract addresses were sometimes incorrectly identified.

✔️ Fallback fee estimation

Some RPC providers didn’t return the correct transaction cost when interacting with smart contracts.
To resolve this, we added a fallback estimation mechanism using a dummy address:

0x0000000000000000000000000000000000000000

This ensures the wallet can still provide a fee estimate—even when the node is unable to.

✔️ New user warning

When exact gas estimation isn’t possible, users now receive a clear message:

“Failed to accurately calculate the network fee. We applied an approximate value, but the transaction may fail or the fee may be higher than expected.”

This prevents confusion and sets proper expectations during contract interactions.

🛠 Stability and Reliability Improvements

🧩 BalanceAdapterRepository fix

A concurrency exception in BalanceAdapterRepository caused crashes on some devices.
This issue has now been fully resolved.

📦 Summary

Version 0.49.0 enhances the wallet in three key areas:

  • Security — via Alpha AML integration
  • Smart-contract reliability — through improved detection and fallback fee logic
  • Stability — with fixes for concurrency-related crashes

This update represents another step toward making PirateCash Wallet a safer, more consistent, and more transparent tool for everyday crypto use.
