PirateCash Core 18.2.5 Released

We are pleased to announce the release of PirateCash Core 18.2.5, which includes several improvements aimed at increasing network stability and fixing issues related to staking and block creation. This update also contains an important fix affecting InstantSend functionality.

We strongly encourage all users, node operators, and service providers to upgrade to the latest version.

Key Improvements and Fixes

Improved handling of stale stake inputs

The node now skips stale cached stake inputs before performing the kernel check. This improves the reliability and stability of the Proof-of-Stake (PoS) staking process.

Fixed logging format in PoSMiner

An issue with mismatched format specifiers in PoSMiner staking log messages has been resolved, improving the accuracy of staking logs.

Coinstake excluded from lock signing and conflict checks

This fix restores correct behavior of InstantSend by excluding coinstake transactions from lock signing and conflict verification logic.

Stop block creation when TestBlockValidity fails

Block creation will now stop if the block fails the TestBlockValidity check. This prevents invalid blocks from being produced and improves overall network reliability.

Important Notice

⚠️ All users are strongly advised to upgrade to PirateCash Core 18.2.5.

This update is necessary to avoid potential issues during the future activation of SPORK_2_INSTANTSEND_ENABLED.

At the moment, this spork is temporarily disabled until the network is updated to the latest version.

Updating ensures the network remains stable and prepared for the safe re-activation of InstantSend.
