Wallet Update 0.51.16: Improved Bitcoin & Monero Synchronization Diagnostics and Stability

Release Date: February 21, 2026

With version 0.51.16, we continue to improve one of the most critical — and often misunderstood — parts of any non-custodial crypto wallet: blockchain synchronization.

This update introduces better visibility into the synchronization process for Bitcoin and Monero, along with several important crash fixes that improve overall application stability on Android.

Why This Update Matter

One of the most common support requests we receive sounds something like:

“My wallet is stuck syncing forever”

In reality, synchronization issues are rarely caused by a single factor.

They may result from:

  • insufficient peer connections
  • unstable network conditions
  • limited API availability
  • delayed access to remote nodes
  • background Android process restoration
  • or simply slow but ongoing block download progress

Until now, identifying the root cause of these issues from the user side was difficult. Version 0.51.16 changes that by significantly expanding the diagnostic information available in the app.

Expanded App Status

We’ve enhanced the Settings → App Status section to display additional technical parameters that reflect the actual synchronization state of the wallet.

This information can now be used by both users and support teams to better understand:

  • whether the wallet is waiting for peers
  • whether network connections are being established
  • if external APIs are reachable
  • and whether synchronization is progressing correctly

Instead of seeing a static 0% progress indicator, users will now be able to track real synchronization stages and identify where delays occur.

Improved Bitcoin Synchronization Logging

Bitcoin synchronization is now accompanied by more detailed status reporting within App Status.

The application can display states such as:

  • waiting for the required number of peers (e.g. 1 of 10)
  • connecting to network sources
  • connecting to API endpoints
  • active synchronization progress without duplicated 0% values

This makes it significantly easier to distinguish between a wallet that is genuinely stuck and one that is still synchronizing under suboptimal network conditions.

Better Sync State Visibility

We’ve also refined the internal logic for displaying synchronization states to provide more context in situations where the wallet may remain in sync mode for an extended period of time.

This is particularly useful for users operating on:

  • limited mobile connectivity
  • restricted background network access
  • high-latency connections
  • or environments with a low number of available peers

Stability Improvements and Bug Fixes

In addition to synchronization diagnostics, version 0.51.16 addresses several application crashes reported by users.

Fixed Crash When Sending Monero and Other Assets

We resolved an issue related to a missing destination sendXFragment in the Android NavController back stack that could result in an IllegalArgumentException when attempting to send Monero or other supported assets.

Fixed Native Crash During Monero Synchronization

The application no longer crashes during the block refresh process while synchronizing a Monero wallet.

This improves stability for users during long synchronization sessions.

Fixed Crash When Opening Funds Invested Screen

An issue that caused the app to crash when opening the Funds Invested screen after Android process restoration has been resolved.

Fixed Crash When Copying Logs in App Status

The Copy button in the App Status section now functions correctly even when handling large log datasets.

Final Notes

This update is part of our ongoing effort to make synchronization more transparent and easier to troubleshoot — both for end users and for support teams assisting with wallet connectivity issues.

If you previously experienced long sync times or crashes during Monero refresh, we strongly recommend updating to version 0.51.16.

As always, we welcome your feedback.
